Office for Students with Disabilities
The Office was established to provide comprehensive educational support for individuals with various types of disabilities.
We strive to remove barriers and overcome limitations in education and assistance for students with disabilities. Student matters are considered on an individual basis at the request of the interested party.
The Disability Ombudsperson offers assistance in the following areas:
- Addressing difficult situations between lecturers and students
- Assisting in organizing individualized study paths and internships
- Facilitating alternative forms of exams and assessments
- Providing advisory support on health matters
- Assisting with completing applications for PFRON and MOPS
- Helping organize leisure activities and summer vacations
- Arranging a sign language interpreter
- Providing a guide for blind students
- Consulting on current academic matters
- Receiving suggestions (comments) regarding the University's infrastructure and equipment
- Organizing free transportation to bring students with disabilities to the University from any location in Łódź
- Lending essential equipment that supports the learning process
The Disability Ombudsperson is available to listen to any problem or complaint from students at AHE with a disability certificate. The Ombudsperson will then address the relevant issues related to the disabled student community and suggest solutions.
The Disability Ombudsperson acts as a supporting figure for students with disabilities in everyday difficulties, as well as an advisor on disability rights.
The Ombudsperson handles complex and challenging cases, serving as both an advisory and appellate instance.
