From 28 to 30 September, we held Introduction Days for incoming Erasmus+ students. We welcomed guests from Spain, Turkey, Italy, Portugal and Greece to our academic community. Three days of shared activities offered an opportunity to discover Łódź, make new friends and begin an international exchange adventure.
The programme included a visit to the Marek Edelman Dialogue Centre. Students also had the chance to explore the city’s culinary side by sampling Polish and local cuisine at Galicja restaurant. Sharing a meal provided a perfect opportunity to chat and get to know one another better.
There was plenty of time to socialise over a game of bowling, too. Having fun together and enjoying some friendly competition helped break the ice and build connections within the international group.
During Introduction Days, we were also joined by representatives of ESN EYE, who talked about the ESN card and their initiatives in Łódź. The meeting introduced incoming students to opportunities to get involved in local student life and take part in future events.
Introduction Days marked the beginning of a stay that will bring our guests many new experiences, both academic and cultural. We hope that the friendships formed and these first moments spent together will help them feel at home in Łódź.
We wish all our Erasmus+ students inspiring classes, unforgettable encounters and a wonderful stay.
